Makeda “Keda“ Wallace is a first generation Caribbean-American dancer and choreographer with a diverse range of training and experience in various dance styles such as West African, Hip Hop, Jazz, Tap, Ballet and Modern. She has performed professionally with different companies, including NIA Dance Troupe, Street Hype, Unyted Stylez Crew, and Boston Community Dance Project. She has also trained at the Alvin Ailey School and has performed in fashion shows and open mic events around Boston. Makeda is passionate about fitness, and has completed a Pilates certification and practices yoga. She has competed in dance battles around the country and has won the Stackin' Stylez 2020 Freestyle Dance Festival. Makeda is a teaching artist at Berklee City Music and runs Evolve Sol, an Art Collective that provides open classes, events and a safe space for study and exploration for all ages.
